Eva Fricke, raised in beer-centric Bremen, Germany, chose winemaking over medicine. After studying at Geisenheim University, she gained global experience from Australia to Bordeaux and Ribera del Duero. However, the allure of the Rheingau brought her back, where she thrived as Technical Director at Weingut Leitz.
In 2006, Eva started making her own wine from a rented parcel, and by 2011, she founded Weingut Eva Fricke. Her passion and dedication have transformed it into a 17-hectare vineyard spanning Lorch, Eltville, Hattenheim, and Kiedrich. Eva's single-vineyard Rieslings are celebrated for their pure expression of Rheingau terroir, elevating the region's winemaking prestige.
Since 2016, Domaine Eva Fricke has been EU organic certified and registered with the Vegan Society since 2017. Her Rieslings, released in March, with single vineyard cuvées debuting in December, continue to captivate wine enthusiasts worldwide.
