"(2015) A super-expensive wine and a real treat to drink this single bottle from my cellar. The nose has some mustiness initially, but then begins to blossom, with briar and truffle, a sweet damp earth note and something firm and vegetal too, like liquorice root perhaps, a touch of beetroot. On the palate cool and structured: even at 20 years old this is not a softened and mellow, fading style. Instead it has taut black fruit at the core, some clove and bitter edge of endive, but the cherry-tight fruit persists. Lovely acidity here, tingling on the lips with the tight tannins and that spine of pure, serious concentation. Magical. Drunk from Zalto Burgundy glasses." - 95/100, Tom Cannavan
